the moksha method
1. Why do we lose our health & well-being?
The human body is designed for continuous adaptation — a natural superpower that allows us to thrive and evolve in any environment. As we grow, we learn that to succeed in life, we must keep adapting to the world around us. And so, we do — constantly making physical and mental adjustments, often without even realising it.
But not all adaptations are helpful. Over time, the ones that don’t serve us — maladaptations — begin to accumulate within us and work against us. Eventually, when the body can no longer cope, it speaks through signs and symptoms that we label as disease.
2. How We Describe Ourselves Matters - Why we use the term ‘Signs and Symptoms’ instead of ‘Disease’?
At Moksha, we don’t use the label disease - and this is intentional.
When we call our symptoms a disease, it feels final and unchangeable. But when we understand that signs and symptoms are the body’s way of asking for attention, our mindset shifts - from feeling stuck to seeing a way forward. This shift brings hope, clarity, and direction. While we all know the harm caused by a troubled state of mind, we often underestimate the healing potential of a calm, clear, and receptive one.
That’s why, at Moksha, we listen closely to the body and decode what it’s trying to say. We then respond with the right knowledge to address the root cause of maladaptations and reverse disease. Letting go of the disease label is the first step in this process.
3. How does the Moksha Method help you regain health, reverse mal-adaptation and rejuvenate every cell?
1.Modern neuroscience shows that when brainwaves slow down and become coherent and synchronous, the body activates powerful physiological processes. These processes repair the damage caused by maladaptation and restore the original function of the cell. We call this the Moksha State of Mind.
2. The Moksha Method is specifically designed to guide you into this state. Once you reach it, your body starts to heal. Your cells return to their natural state and recover their original function.
3. When you sustain the Moksha State of Mind over long periods, your body shifts from healing to rejuvenation. Your cells continue to repair, strengthen, and energise themselves. They begin to reveal their full potential, and their latent capabilities come alive. You experience greater clarity, energy and focus.
4. What are The key Milestones in the Healing Journey?
1. Reassure
When you walk into Moksha, you feel heard. We listen to you with the utmost focus and begin to learn about you. We decode the signs and symptoms you experience and show you that there is a way out. This changes your state of mind - from fear and doubt to hope and clarity. When your mind shifts from a negative to a positive state, your system becomes calm and able to receive and benefit from any healing modality.
2. Reason
As we learn about you, we show you the root cause of your signs and symptoms. We give you a strong, logical reason to support every foundational principle and practice that we recommend. This is very important because only when your analytical mind understands and accepts the reasoning will you be able to commit to the practice with the right focus.
3. Restructure
Your Moksha teacher now designs a program based on your needs. You begin to implement the program on the mat and start rewriting the maladaptations that lie at the root of your symptoms. The first big milestone in your practice is correction — where maladaptations are rewritten and, little by little, balance is restored.
4. Restore
The Sukshma Vyayama sequences are designed to reveal maladaptations and also trigger the appropriate healing response to each. With consistent practice, you reach the Moksha State of Mind. In this state, your brain fires in slow, coherent, synchronous waves, and many powerful physiological processes that activate healing come alive. The process of disease reversal begins. Your cells begin to repair and regain their original function. You feel better.
5. Retain
With consistent practice, you begin to retain the Moksha State of Mind for longer periods — not just during your practise sessions. This allows the healing process to continue beyond the mat. As you carry this state into daily life, the external environment loses its negative influence, and maladaptations in response to it are significantly reduced.
6. Rejuvenate
When the Moksha State of Mind is sustained for extended periods without interruption, healing becomes continuous. Every cell begins to repair, strengthen, and energise itself. As the body moves beyond restoration, your cells begin to express their full potential. Latent capabilities come alive. You feel a steady rise in energy, focus, and clarity. Age-related degeneration is minimised.
7. Reborn
As your practice deepens, layer upon layer of maladaptation is reversed. You regain health and experience complete well-being. You feel the energy of a teenager, the joy of a child, and a deep, lasting sense of peace.
At this stage, your practice becomes self-progressive. The cycle of Reassure–Reason–Rewrite–Restore–Retain becomes a natural, reflexive habit. You are ready to walk alone — to enjoy life fully while maintaining sthira and sukha, stability and ease, in the midst of everyday life.
5. Why do we trust it's effectiveness across a wide range of conditions?
The Moksha Method has been developed by Dr.Meenakshi Shal over nearly 30 years of clinical practice, addressing a wide range of medical conditions. Through deep study, she has simplified Ashtanga Yoga (all eight limbs of yoga) into Sukshma Vyayama - subtle yet powerful techniques designed to activate the body's natural healing mechanisms.
Every individual that Dr. Shal worked with has been unique: with different needs, conditions, and responses to healing. With each person, she applied the Moksha Method - carefully observing and refining it based on real-life outcomes. This extensive practice has shaped the method into an adaptable, effective system deeply rooted in reason.
It is this rich history of continuous application and refinement - tailoring the approach to each individual and helping them realise and activate their own healing processes - that gives us the confidence to say: this method works
