I have been a student of Meena’s for 9 years and I can honestly say that it has changed my life. I am stronger, more connected to my body and more balanced in every aspect of my wellbeing. I found my way to Meena, initially to treat an injured knee after running a trail race. After I began practicing with Meena, however, I quickly realised that the knee injury was a superficial ‘symptom’ of a deeper ‘cause’ of misalignment and lack of connection to my overall health and wellbeing.

When I started, I had been struggling with fertility issues for a number of years, combined with a stressful work life. I went on to have success with IVF and gave birth to healthy twin girls who were delivered naturally at full term - all of which I put down to my practice with Meena. I have continued my practice with Meena via zoom since we returned to the UK at the end of my pregnancy with the twins. My daughters, who are now 7, were joined by their brother 2 years later and Meena worked with me through this pregnancy and the post-natal period. Since then, we have been gradually unwinding years of misalignment and building strength, stability and flexibility.

Meena’s approach to health through alignment, body awareness and yoga is unique. I have found it almost impossible to explain to friends who say “oh, you do yoga?” as it is so far removed from the group yoga classes that have proliferated in cities all over the world. I jokingly explain that it’s not like other yoga and I still haven’t completed a full sun salutation in 9 years. They look at me quizzically… But once you have practiced with Meena, you realize that an ability to list yoga poses entirely misses the point. It is, simply, a way of life, a way back to your health. It does take self-discipline, and a willingness to develop self-awareness. But Meena designs your practice in a way that it fits into your life easily and, once you feel the results, you do it willingly. I wholeheartedly recommend Moksha and working with Meena.
