My journey with Meena began in February 2024. I was recovering from an illness and wanted to rebuild my immunity and regain my strength. Inspired by several posts on social media on yoga poses and fad diets, I thought this too will be similar with a weekly exercise plan and a diet chart!
During my first meeting, Meena ‘reasoned’ it out as to why I need to look deeper at a cell level - observe, detach and experience to quote Meena. So I had to detach from a lot of clutter on social media to attach to the right content and context..As Meena says, the yogic way is to know ‘living’ - a union of my mind and body, a balance with the external and internal factors, voluntary and involuntary actions and knowledge.
The past eight months has been a journey of exploration and building my knowledge on the interconnectedness between the physiological, psychological, endocrine and the musculoskeletal systems. I learnt how we can teach our body to unlearn the wrong postures and quickly adapt to the correct way. I saw the impact of breathing on strengthening my back and maintaining an optimal blood pressure. Degenerative changes can be reversed!
Some of these positive changes have also been reflected in my blood reports in a very short period of time!
I observed and experienced some of the changes my body goes through under emotional stress resulting in pain in the joints amongst other things. This awareness has helped me leverage some of the knowledge I have gained thus far to manage these triggers and situations better, without having Meena by my side all the time.
All of this would not have been possible without Meena’s guidance, encouraging me to be honest about I am not ok and believing that I have all the resources within me to heal and rejuvenate…
And yes…I have not got my diet chart as yet because Meena insists that I have to fix my metabolism via a combination of some very powerful remedies, yoga and breathing. Weight loss will follow and will be sustainable!My journey continues. As Meena says…continue to invoke the Guru in you through voluntary action!
